WorldMark by Wyndham uses credits, not Club Wyndham points. Owners regularly confuse the two because the sales brands sit near each other and the parent company is the same. The reservation rules, the fees, and the exit programs are not interchangeable.
Many purchases happen at a presentation during a stay, sometimes after the owner already had a different timeshare. “We will take your old one in trade” needs to be read against the documents. A trade that was described verbally and a trade that was signed are different facts.
