What “cancellation” can mean
Developers use the word loosely. A deed-back program, a surrender, an Ovation-style or legacy exit offer, a negotiated release, and a foreclosure are not the same event. Some leave you owing a fee. Some leave a deficiency. Some are only offered to owners who are current, and some are only offered to owners who are not.
The work is to name which of those is actually available on your contract, and which are stories from a sales floor or from an exit ad.
What we read first
The purchase agreement, the public offering statement if you still have it, the deed or membership certificate, the last two maintenance statements, and any amendment you signed later. Upgrades and “conversions” into points often replaced the original deal with a new one. The new one is the file.
We also read collection letters. A resort HOA, a developer, and a third-party collector do not have the same leverage, and they do not get the same answer.
When a law firm is the right next step
Timeshare Cancellation Partners is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. If the path is a legal demand, a defense of a collection case, or a claim about how the timeshare was sold, we introduce an independent law firm. You hire that firm directly, under its own engagement, if you decide to.
Any fee is explained in writing before paid work begins. We do not quote a price from a form, and we do not tell you to stop paying your resort before you hold a written release.
